Character Bio

Mordecai Kaine was the victim of a Circle of Thorns ritual gone horribly wrong.  Surrounded by mages of every kind, he hung suspended between dimensions while they called upon forces he could barely perceive.  At the crucial moment, the circle was interrupted by a lone hero, apparently hunting mages for a badge reward.  This might have been good news, except the hero was distracted by an historical plaque, and left one of the mages behind, bloodied and incomprehensible.  Because he was unable to complete the ritual, this left Mordy in perpetual torment, and altered his very soul thru extended contact with the supernatural.  Now he has become Mordenkaine of the Planes, Mage of the 11th Circle.
