For centuries, my clan has continued Viking traditions and practices, though we have kept this hidden from the eyes of modern society. The mark on my face identified me as graced by the gods.

When I came of age, I was brought to our ancestral home. My clan performed an ancient ceremony in the presence of the gods. Odin chose to grace me with powers. I was given control the darkness of the afterlife and the chaos of earthly storms. I hope that using my powers in this city of heroes is pleasing to the gods, that they will allow me to be a true Valkyrie, and that I will find honorable death when my time is fated.
