Character Bio

Dr. Samuel Calvin Ivanovich was and remains among the foremost experts in energy field physics in Paragon City, developing many of the inventions that safeguarded critical structures with force barriers following the Rikti War.   One day, while working late in the lab to reverse-engineer a piece of Rikti tech, an explosion changed his life forever. His life was saved by a personal force shield of his own design, but the radiation from the blast had other effects - over the ensuing weeks, Dr. Ivanovich discovered that he could literally see patterns of force and, with practice, even influence them.

This remarkable ability did not come without a price, however - as his power to see and influence patterns of force strengthened, his natural eyesight deteriorated and ultimately was lost entirely. Now blind but in some ways better able to see than any human alive, Dr. Ivanovich works against the forces of evil in a more direct capacity.
