Twelve years ago, Melody Fox was almost a household name. The teen singer was riding her fame and living it up. But time is always the enemy for pop fads and in a couple of years, Melody saw the sales of her CDs dropping. Faced with changing times, then 16-year-old Melody decided to leave the spotlight entirely. Several years and a few of degrees later, Melody was a music executive.
Then a doomsday cult decided that she would be a perfect 'fallen star' sacrifice to call the Roc, destroyer of civilizations and ages. Everything went without a hitch until the Roc, actually a herald of the change of ages and not too happy with being called in early, upset the balance and made a deal with Melody. Imbuing the former singer with his power, he let her influence changes while he watched.
After all, the endtime was a ways off, it got boring in the voids.
