When Marie Aoun's parents immigrated from Loas during the rise of a period of civil unrest, they took their newborn daughter and the mothers parents to America. Setting up a market was a marked difference then their previous status as land owners but they made ends meet comfortably. When Marie was 17, something happend that was totally unexpected.

On the night of a full moon, she turned into a wolf-humanoid. At first they were worried about a lycanthropy curse, but dawn came and she didn't turn back to human, not did she go on any rampages, she just turned into a wolfgirl. The months passed and Maris only got more powerful, wielding an odd energy she knew instictively to be from the moon.

At a loss to explain anything, Marie went to Paragon to see their specialists, both magical and scientific, in search of an explination. One that was proving to be very out of this world.
