Rumour around Zig is Lady Aysel Swan used to be a chemistry graduate student at Rogue Isle's University. With a series of robberies cutting most funding, many students turned to plasma donation and medical experimental trials to make up for lack of money. Lady Swan was a participant in one of these trials put on by Crey Industries; clinical trials on a supplement that was supposed to improve memory. Suffice it to say, the supplement didn't work, and in most participants nothing at all occurred, though in the unique case of Aysel, the whole of her brain function was enhanced. Her growing powers went relatively unnoticed for several years however. Then, one fated day, just about everything that could go wrong for her, did and whatever it was that was keeping her psionic powers in check had its last straw drawn when one of her more inept students managed to set a trashcan in the lab on fire. The resulting mental blast caused several million dollars in property damage and more then one casualty.
