One evening, Jeri Holland was taking a relaxing bath using an experimental bubble bath formula of her own invention. All was going well until Jeri's high powered boom box, perched precariously on a loose shelf above the tub, tumbled into the warm water. The high voltage energy discharged into the chemicals of the bubble bath and enveloped Jeri in a cocoon of powerful, fragrant electricity. When Jeri woke she soon discovered that the freak accident had transformed her. With her new found electrical powers and permanent lilac scent, Jeri Holland became Jouele and set out to fight crime and protect the innocent.
