Once Ymir held sway over the Frost Giants and lesser beings in the northern climbs of Elder Earth. The arrival of the New Gods brought chaos to the order of the realm, but since the victors get to write the histories, Odin, Thor and the other upstarts put quite a different slant on events casting themselves in the roles of "Good" triumphs over "Evil."
