Its seems when you are a young mutant whose powers haven't yet expressed themselves, certainly even can provide catalyst, and even focus for your abilities. Breaking your arm is one of the things that happen to many kids, but when they set up the X-ray machine, Anita almost caused a power outage at the medical clinic.

As the radition touched her skin, for that instance, her mutant ability somehow grabbed a hold of it and started to drag the radition from the machine. Getting it to produce far more radition than normal, and almost fusing the machine before the technicians could get it shutdown. In the darkness that followed before the circuit breakers kicked over, Anita sat in the room glowly a soft pale green.
