Character Bio

Hidden under Dark Astoria at his Evermoor Facility, the mad Dr. Serpentes bred his would-be minions, mixes of human and animal DNA that he then subjected to torturous augmentation and experimentation to try and boost their powers. Flameshade, like his twin Saeng, was created from reptilian stock, and presented the mad doctor with a unique opportunity. Each was sent to a different Project to see how they would develop, Flameshade ending up in the cruel care of Dr. Izivin as part of Project Thoth. There, his body was infused with a spirit of flame as part of the mystical tortures inflicted upon him, gifting him with the ability to call forth flames at will. He was slated for further experimentation to refine the process, but the breakout attempt by subjects of Project Spartan interrupted. Seizing the opportunity, Flameshade joined in the escape attempt, reuniting with Saeng in the process. The pair used their abilities to blast away their tormenters and clear a path through them to Paragon City's streets.
