Her older sister Kishara was out on duty and too far away to prevent the fatal exposure that killed her parents and left Anastasia?s newly birthed form open to absorb the surrounding radiation. Because she was so young and survived the radiation, her growth was halted. The after effects left her with various new abilities leaving scars as each one manifests itself.
