Character Bio

Taking the name of the Mauryan Dynasty emperor, the man who calls himself the Ashokan survived through the First Rikti War scarred but unbowed. However, when the general drawdown in favor of superpowered forces took place afterwards, instead of joining the Sky Pirates the Ashokan instead began training himself and researching Rikti-derived technology. The failure of the world powers to rebuild after the devastation of the war embittered him, and he began to engage in criminal and terrorist activity to fund his research. As part of his research, he has learned of his Mu ancestry, and has also stolen teleport and robotics technologies from the Malta Group. Fueled by an insatiable hatred of the Rikti, he conducts mercenary and villainous operations throughout the North Atlantic Rim, driven to correct the problems of the post-war world that he sees as timid and not doing enough for the people. He is determined to make the world better....
