Character Bio

Maya grew up an only child in the care of her father, though the extend family aunts and cousins provided her with plenty of opportunity for interacting with other females, so she turned out well adjusted. Some of her older cousins were mutants displaying powers of regneration and superior skills with weapons, as well as some possessing power over various forms of energy. When she turned twelve she started to come into her own abilities and DNA checks confirmed she was displaying traces of non-standard human traits. At first she could only feel the emotions of others. But after a while she found she could manipulate those emotions and their physical states, sometimes in ways that tempted her so strangely. After she scared herself with a particularly strange incident with an older boy, she confessed to her father about her abilities and discovered the truth. Her mother was actually succubi, who for reasons unknown had returned her to her father, from that point she decided to heal rather than ever hurt.
