Character Bio

Greta was one of Freyja's Valkyries, and as such she made sure that each one who fell in battle was honored in Valhalla. Once Freyja wanted to personally go down into battle, and asked Greta to be an avatar for her. Greta agreed, and was honored to do so. Once back in Valhalla, the trickster god Loki played a joke on who he thought was Freyja, not knowing that the goddess was in a body that could be destoryed. As a result of his actions, Greta fell, and Freyja demanded that Loki take responsibility for his actions. Loki agreed to give Greta the powers of trickery if Odin would restore her physical body. Odin, out of his love of Frejya, not only restored Greta to her body, but also gave her the power to control storms and electricity. Though Greta was never able to heft her sword again, she serves her lady well.
