A former professional snowboarder, Lloyd Frayes is the kind of person who takes risks in the name of what he does... and is proud to do it. However, a careless mistake in the off-season sent him out of bounds and off a steep drop: he broke many bones (including both his lower legs and feet) in the landing.
  A passing aboriginal hermit was able to heal Lloyd's body, but the shamanic magic transformed his once human feet into the form of horses' hooves. Taking this as a sign from the ancients, the elder instructed that Lloyd discipline his own body and mind, and to seek "a place of power". Thus, he has found his way to Paragon City.
