Character Bio

Kurt was a student at Medford College when the school began having financial difficulties. When the schools Dean, Eugene Higgins received a grant from the A.J. Arno company to do research using mussells as a generic food source (the next soy!), everything seemed on the up and up.

By sheer coincidence, Kurt was the grad student placed in charge of the project and, one night after struggling over a particularly difficult bio-chemical experiment, Kurt fell asleep in his lab.

The A.J. Arno company's founder however, wasn't all that he seemed. In fact, he was really the headmaster for an illegal syndicate trying to hedge in on Family operations in Skyway City. In retaliation, the Family decided to ruin the company and all its ventures.

Kurt woke up to a lab on fire, and, as he tried to save his research, the lab experiments blew up in his face, showering him with the strange aquatic chemicals. When he awoke, he found his skin had become hard as a shellfish and his stamina had increased tenfold.
