Coming from a family influential in paragon city when starting a career as a hero decided they wanted to achieve on their own merits and not those of his family name. So rather than make use of the family name while fighting crime the Furystar was adopted, and even after all they have achieved keeping their true name a mystery to the world remains important. As they seek to remain a hero whose achievements can be a model for anyone no matter what their origins, or starting point in life.
