Character Bio

Very few people are aware that the Vatican has a select group of heroes who, for hundreds of years, have sworn to protect the Holy See. Embued with powers beyond those of mortal men and women, these secret warriors travel the world, ensuring the Pope's safety wherever he may go.

It wasn't until the last Rikti invasion that the Vatican saw fit to send a few of its elite protection arm outside of the Papal residence. Cardinal Paul Benedict was one of those few. Well over 100 years old, he has served faithfully as a member of the Vatican's superhero arm. As a volunteer, and an appointed delegate to Paragon City, he continues to serve a higher calling and defend all those who have had injustice brought upon them by others.
