Character Bio

Golden-Age was born Brian Cole, younger brother of Marcus Cole. In his late teens, he developed leukemia and was on his death bed when his older brother Marcus came back from traveling the world a very changed man. Wishing desperately to save his younger brother's life, Marcus transfused some of his blood into Brian. This transfusion not only cured Brian of his leukemia, but gave him enhanced strength and invulnerability, though not on par with Marcus' own "Well of the Furies" enhanced abilities. After Marcus went public as Statesman and formed the Freedom Phalanx in 1932, Brian took on a hero name of his own and became the original Back Alley Brawler.
Sometime in the late 1930's, Brian and Marcus' wife Monica, a.k.a Maiden Justice, were swept by a dimensional rift through time to the year 2010. Horrified by what Marcus has become, Brian and Monica have sworn to either bring "The Emporer" to his senses, or to bring him down.
