Taek never planned on being a hero, quite the opposite. She was happy to be a salesperson for her mothers automotive dealership. She quickly became the leading seller outpacing the other sales staff by quite a margin, much to the delight of her mother and the chagrin of the rest of the sales staff. This would have continued if two local thugs hadn't tried to mug her. During the attack, her not quite latent abilities manifested themselves fully, both protecting her and knocking the two thugs out cold. The news of this spread. Both her and her mother were sued by former clients, swearing that they had been manipulated by Taek's mind control. The law suits were settled out of court, not quite bankrupting her mothers dealership, which continues to struggle to survive to this day. Taek vowed to clear her family's good name by using her abilities for good and has joined the ranks of hero's in Paragon to try and do so.
