Character Bio

Lindsay Callahan was interning at a Crey laboratory when a piece of lab equipment exploded, setting the entire lab ablaze. The flames blocked the exit and she found herself trapped, intense heat closing in around her. She did what any other college girl in the situation would do: she started screaming her lungs out. Unfortunately, her extreme panic and fear triggered her latent pyrokinetic powers, causing the fire to spiral even more out of control, the flames bursting into life, reacting to her emotions. She was knocked unconscious as the fire threw her into the wall, the heat singeing her throat and vocal chords, rendering her unable to speak for the rest of her life.

She woke in the hospital, 75% of her body covered in 2nd and 3rd degree burns, yet somehow, she was alive. When she was knocked out, the fire burned itself out, as if it too was rendered unconscious. She spent months in recovery, and there, she learned that she could use her powers to communicate, shaping pictures and words in flame.
