Character Bio

Gabriel Atom is extremely psychotic.  A religious fanatic, he was sent undercover by his religious group to secure a job at a research center and to sabotage the work done there.  His group views all scientific research as an insult to God's supremacy and power.  A few weeks after he got there, the research center began to test a generator's ability to collect cosmic radiation.  While trying to stop the experiment, Atom locked himself inside of the generator and tried to detonate a hand-held explosive.....but he wasn't fast enough.  The generator opened and Gabriel was bathed in cosmic radiation.  He lived, but he was 10 times more insane and could now generate the power of a star!   Thinking he had just been annointed as an angel by God as a reward for his service, Atom took up the cleansing of Earth as his mission.
