Five years ago, whilst in Paragon city, Katon was recruited into the Mara Collective by Mara Ting. Unfortunately, Mara Katon did not live up to Mara Ting?s expectations and was duly expelled. Katon was devastated by his expulsion. Enraged, he vowed revenge upon both Mara Ting and the Collective. Katon immediately changed his name to Mara DeBase, retaining ?Mara? in order to remind himself of the vengeance he desperately sought. He moved to Rogue Island, where he embarked on an intensive training programme and began to plot his deadly revenge on Mara Ting and the Collective. DEATH TO MARA TING!
