Anya was always a little special. Her mystic powers drew the attention of Soviet military personnel. Her skills were honed, her personality indoctrinated, and she was made the perfect Soviet super-soldier. . . just as the communist government fell apart.

The superpowered program Anya had been a part of was disbanded, the heroes tossed by the wayside. Anya's rage against the powers that destroyed her government rose to a boiling point. Some suspicious fires at key new military officials' homes led to Anya's exile from the new Russia.

She drifted aimlessly, heading to Paragon City. Trying to find new direction . . . a new doctrine. She adopted the name Red.Oktober and now fights for whoever can pay her enough to keep going. Her arson got the attention of Paragon authorities, ending up in the Zig until the Arachnos freed her. She looks to Arachnos to fill the void the dissolution of the USSR created.
