They told her that her office at White Sands was safe, that it was far enough away from the test blasts that she had nothing to worry about. They told her that the blasts were carefully calculated, and she was safe. She believed them.

When she awoke, sixty years later, her body covered in a layer of gleaming metal, with no need to eat, drink, or even breathe, and then, to add insult to injury, was told she wasn't even eligible to file a claim because she was dead, something inside her snapped, and she decided she would get compensation HER way.

Now, every one of them, and their children, and their grandchildren, even their great-grandchildren, if necessary, will learn the meaning of pain, fear, and loss. It's only right, after what their "safe", "carefully calculated" blasts did to her.
