Character Bio

A case of mistaken identity and being in the wrong place at the wrong time resulted in WRider becoming a hero against his will.

Originally, Project WRIDER was a psy-ops program dedicated to throwing off evil syndicates by thwarting and sabotaging their plans but attributing them all to a single super agent.  The hope was that these organizations would waste their energies in pursuing a phantom hero while real agents carried on their work unnoticed.

In a situation reminiscent of the movie "North by Northwest", a lounge musician performing under the name "Wallace Rider" answered a phone call in a hotel lobby meant for a "W. Rider". He was promptly accosted by a small group of Family thugs but escaped due to the intervention of Clairevoire, one of several Project WRIDER agents.

However, his face was mistakenly confirmed as that of Agent WRider and the information spread.  From that day forward, he was forced to become "WRider", the spy who never existed.
