[Looking for RP VG!]  The fungus Cordyceps militaris, known to be parasitic of insects, infects a host's nervous system and exerts a form of mind control to ensure its spores are spread over as wide an area as possible. There are no known strains that infect mammals, though it's theoretically possible that such a strain could exist deep in an unexplored jungle somewhere. The small-time mutant villainess calling herself Creeping Mold, more a nuisance than a real threat with her power to control fungus, was last seen in Borneo, heading into the deep, unexplored jungles. Nobody cared at the time...
