A clear blue lake. Even there, sometimes you think you see shadows in the water or feel something brush up against your leg. On the day that her blood tinged the water, there were shadows no one saw. A dream of being a singer spilled into the water as harsh eyes watched her sink underneath the waves. Eyes that had watched her smile and laugh, but held an envy of her talent and a fear of being replaced. As the water spilled over her shattered jaw and down her throat, she did the one thing that she knew would be just revenge, she tried to sing. And the shadows listened and watched, as harsh eyes walked away. And one shadow smiled as it wrapped her body and made her revenge into a primal howl to shatter souls. And now, all that listen to eyes harsh with envy will know shadows as well.
