Character Bio

Born into the Prussian Junker nobility in the early 20th century, Wilhelm Wunder was raised in a culture of military service. But young Wilhelm soon became disenchanted with the democratic Weimar Republic & developed an unhealthy obsession with the occult - particularly the lore of the lost continent of Mu. Funding an archeological expedition to the reputed site of Ultima Thule, young Wilhelm discovered the artifact for which he had been searching - the legendary Bands of Shu-ta-Zahm, the Mu god of lightning & war. Clashing the bands together & invoking the god's name granted Wilhelm a portion of the god's near-limitless power. As Graf Wunder, the Baron became one of the German Ubermenschen in WWII - eventually serving as a Hauptmann in the 5th Column & taking the war to the shores of America itself. Allied members of the Midnight Squad were able to depower the Bands & hold the Baron helpless in a state of supended animation - until recently, when Arachnos restored the Bands & the Baron to power.
