Anya Fox lives in the shadow of her father's legacy; a hero of the Hamidon Wars.

During the chaos that followed the emerging Devouring Earth Jack Fox led his family on a journey to find civilisation. Using the mutation that helped him survive the Korean War he protected his family and others met along the way, battling the Devouring Earth, raiders, and starvation as they crossed the Midwest.

Barely twenty crossed the bridge into Praetoria of what had been fifty survivors.

And that is what Anya had become: A survivor.

One that had lost a mother and sister to the horrors that remained beyond the sonic fences, and within them lost a father who finally succumbed to a death delayed by decades.

On her father's grave - the day before she enrolled in the PPD - The Lady Vulpine promised to bring order to the shattered globe that had molded her.
