Character Bio

Doctor David Drake was a professor of ancient history at Oxford University, researching the legend of the First King, a despotic ruler in the dark ages called Escalus. Legend held that the First King had gained his powers by placing his hands in a mystic portal which had granted him a powerful inner chi, which he used for attack and defence. After years of searching Drake found the portal and claimed the powers for himself, doing battle with the spirit of Escalus. He emerged victorious, gaining the powers of Escalus but was scarred in the fight. Presumed dead, he headed for Praetoria...
