Character Bio

A psychic in Praetoria usually has two options: A trip to Praetor Tilman's hospital or join the Syndicate. However Robert Wylde was shown another way.

His neighbour old man Cartomancer, a psychic who had hidden in plain sight for years, revealed his secret to a young Wylde when the boy's powers manifested during puberty.

Wylde was taught to hide his true intentions by building layer upon layer of inane, trivial thoughts to trick the Seer Network and other psychics. It worked for years.

But then he attended a rally for Emperor Cole and whilst passing Praetor Tilman his subconscious dove into her own and found a secret so terrifying he blacked out.

He was tortured, but never questioned for two weeks until finally they sat his beaten body in a chair opposite Provost Marchand. Still no one asked the question he expected, "What did you see?".

Instead he was offered a job, a job suited to his ability to hide his intentions, a job for his freedom.

It was simple, it was impossible.
