Life is short: it's a maxim that Hyperhaste knows all too well. He was born four-and-a-half months premature to a pair of Praetorian speedsters, and it was obvious that he had inherited their genetic legacy: displaying feats of amazing speed in every human capability. In fact, despite his appearance of being in his mid-twenties, he's only lived about half as long. 

As a hero recruit to the Praetorian Powers Division, this gold-hearted man always tried to do the right thing even as the lines of good and evil were blurred in his society. In the end, he justified his actions as doing what he can with what little time he believed he had. He now stands among the heroes of Paragon City while other events unfold in his home dimension. 
 
Although he enjoys friendships and the company of others, his attempts to slow himself down to the pace of the rest of the world make him awkward in such situations.
