John J. Clarke - Age 20 - Occupation : Physics Student - Paragon City University

When John was assigned to assist Professor Wilder, he was both delighted and concerned. The Prof had a reputation for being truly absent-minded. After weeks of playing the gopher, recording notes, organizing results, things got interesting.

The Prof was working with a radical bit of particle physics, and had discovered a new kind of particle. He was trying to produce and collect these particles in greater and greater numbers when something went wrong. A chain reaction occured, and the lab was flooded with these particles. While attempting to shut the chamber down manually, it cracked and he was struck with a stream of these particles.

Though not injured, he immediately began to feel their effects, feeling charged with their energy. He could play with kinetic energy at will, and latent psychic talents had also been awakened. Being a 3rd generation Paragon City native, the choice to register as a hero was a given.
