I always thought the only thing special about me was a lucky birthmark on my shoulder -- a perfect 8 point star. My "starmark" as mother always called it. But that wasn't the case.

Early in 2008, things changed. I started getting headaches. Bad ones. I saw several doctors who were baffled by them. They never checked for a mutant genes I guess. I found out what it was when a couple thugs tried to mug me. My headache exploded in a final burst of pain -- and they were down and out.

GIFT got involved after that, and they found out I had mental powers. So I decided to try the hero biz -- It was a tad more interesting than joining the Army or Navy like I had thought. At least for now. I took inspiration from my birthmark and became -- Starmark.
