"The Chained Ghost"

Faline Croix was born in 1753 to a moderately wealthy Frenchman and his wife. Their only child, Faline was spoiled with extravagances but remained modest and kind. It wasn't until the death of her father that things turned dark. Her mother remarried to a richer, but cruel man, who demanded Faline make the streets her home so the children of this new union could live spoiled lives as well. Faline's life as a street-rat sealed her fate. On an Autumn eve in her 22nd year, she met a darkly handsome man who promised her the life she missed; one of comfort and glamour. She was greedy for such promises, and thus was her downfall. She became famished by the lies he fed her, dying bound to him.
