it was the latest in fire-fighting technologies, fresh from Crey's development labs, and out for its first field test. Steel Canyon seemed the ideal place to deploy it, what with the rash of arson cases from Hellions torching buildings, and the Fire Chief was happy with the test lab results - at least, the reports that Crey let him see... calling upon heroes in the area to assist with the effort, the new extinguisher packs were issued to battle the blazes, and they seemed to do a fine job of it. but what the heroes using these packs didn't see, as Crey had hoped, was the effect of the mutagenic chemicals in the extinquishing foam. Mouse may be the first, though probably not the last that will turn up, though he has no memories of how he came to be as he is
