Character Bio

Winter Gail is not my real name, but real names have power, so my people do not share them with Outsiders. My tribe lies far to the north, on another world entirely, where they live in the frozen windblown steppes, so that they may be closer to our gods, the primal spirits of the world. Only the strongest can survive there, and only the wisest may prosper. I am a sister of the Wind, like my mother, and her mother, and her mother before her, back to the beginnings of Time itself.  Upon reaching the age of maturity, we are sent out into the world to learn, and grow, and bring back our knowledge. It is not yet my time to return, as there is far too much to explore in this strange new land.
