Growing up an Army brat, Miguel was used to being the new kid. However, when his family settled in Galaxy City the hazing reached new heights. Where before he had handled bullies attacking alone or in pairs, they now came at him in groups. Defiant Miguel fought constantly, frequently crawling through his bedroom to keep his family from seeing the bruises and scrapes. All that changed one afternoon when he realized he was draining the life and the fire from his enemies. They tired and grew weaker even as he grew stronger. Miguel experimented with his abilities and discovered he could also control flames. Though his powers were weak, he could even super heat the air around him enough to fly. He convinced his mother to create a costume "for a school play" and began patrolling the streets as LifeFyre. He now protects the victims of aggression that he once was
