"Many a sacrifice she's made in her mad quest for retribution.

"Many a time she's forced herself to endure what the human eye was never meant to see.

"And many a misgiving had I about teaching her the secrets I did. But, Maker... to have demons brutalize your family, and you barely alive when the authorities arrive... fated not to join them, and wondering why. In the end, I just -couldn't- turn her away.

"I thought -she- was too focused on that impossible task, but I was the one too focused on it... it clouded my judgement of her.

"She came through it... like something that had been broken down and reassembled into a new whole. She still seems mad, I guess, but there's a method to her madness that I know better than to question now.

"Her ammo now may not be as exotic as the loadout she used on planar lordlings... the weakening magicks I taught her may be less effective here, but it's more than enough to make me feel a bit sorry for her new foes."
