Granddaughter to the Father of the Soviet Atomic Bomb, Igor Kurchatov, Nastasya was part of a secret project in the closed city Arzamas-16, under Government orders to reverse engineer extraterrestrial technology.

A-16's latest project was on a Nictus Shadow Cyst Crystal of unusual properties. Natasya discovered energy readings suggesting the crystal rivaled that of several hundred of nuclear power stations. Eager to prove herself when the lead scientist fell ill, she stepped up the timetable to tap into the energy within.

Unknown to all was the true nature of the object as unlike other cysts made for the instant transportation of hundreds of Nictus, this crystal was made to keep a single Nictus contained indefinitely.

When the team finally managed to pierce the darkness they unleashed Atomgrad the Betrayed, emprisoned for centuries by a Peacebringer\Nictus alliance.

Although long dead Nastasya's body continues to serve the Nictus Queen and her mission of vengeance and Galactical conquest.
