Character Bio

Sgt. Joanna "Surefyre" McIntyre was assigned to an anti-aircraft battery during the
Ritki invasion. Her battalion was decimated by the Ritki weaponry. Sgt.
McIntyre was critically wounded during the battle. A direct hit by a Ritki energy
weapon destroyed Sgt. McIntyre's turret. The blast permanently damaged her
eyesight, severed both of her arms and cauterized the wounds all while she
remained conscious. Unable to reattach her limbs, government doctors and
scientists asked Sgt. McIntyre if she would be willing to undergo an experimental
procedure involving cybernetic technology. Sgt. McIntyre agreed to this option,
knowing that her career and chance for a normal life had evaporated with the
blast. The scientists attached cyberntic arms capable of generating concentrated
beams of energy or powerful close combat discharges. Sgt. McIntyre's mangled
right eye was replaced with an infrared telescoping eyepiece. The units were
wired into her nervous system and battery located on her belt.
