Character Bio

Mike was born into an average middle class family in a suburban area of sunny San Diego, California. Though Mike was loved by his family, he was often neglected and left to his own devices due to his parents bitter divorce. This instilled in Mike a fierce independence and stubborn will. As a child Mike learned to meet his needs with cunning and wit. As a teen (by that time a loner), Mike was much misunderstood by his peers and therefor shunned and abused by most of them. Thinking the world hated him, Mike began his long and painful decent into a dark depression that would be his constant companion for many years to come.

At the age of 19 Mike responded to a newspaper add placed by a prominant drug manufacturer. The offer seemed harmless enough at first, asking only for people with moderate to severe depression to step forward for the final testing stage of a new medicine that was sure to cure depression forever.
