Character Bio

When he was just a youth, Eric Adams thought he was just another mutant. He could summon fire and make it do his bidding. He didn't know where the power came from, or how to control it very well.  It was a deep, dark secret he kept hidden from everyone he knew. He didn't want to be different: he wanted to be normal, to fit in.

Eventually, however, all secrets are discovered. Eric was the victim of a brutal beating at the hands of school bullies, and in the process he lost control of his abilities. During the investigation, he came to the attention of American Argonaut, who agreed to take him under his wing and see that he got proper training with the members of Paragon Defense League.

Over time, Eric learned that he drew his powers from the sun: that his genetic mutation allows himto store solar energy for great lengths of time, and then harness it into powerful attacks or shielding. With the League's help, he turned his life around.
