Mazarra Naheely had just begun a promising modeling career in New York when she was attacked - her beautiful face slashed beyond recognition. None of the plastic surgeons could help her. Desperate and horrified, she turned to the Medics of Crey Industries. They promised to restore her face and body. She didn't care how -- but she should have.

   As part of their secret Gene Splicing program, they interwove the dna of jungle cats with her own. They kept their promise and healed her face. They also gave her the strength, agility, stealth, and speed of the jaquar, cheetah, and panther. However they weren't prepared for their success.

After escaping the Crey labs, Matazzara took refuge under a bridge in Gemini Park. It was there that Mystic Blade found her and convinced her to join the Justice Girls. Arming her with razor sharp impervium claws, they christened her Cheetazara. However, still self-conscious and skittish, she often prowls the shadows.
