I slowed my breath and readied a shot, I could not shake this gut feeling that something was wrong. Orders are orders, so I took the shot... but hit the wrong target. They said this would be a milk run get in get the girl get out simple right? WRONG they forgot to mention in the briefing we were dealing with other enhanced soldiers. He blocked the bullet with the hostage using his inhuman speed.. a young girl no older then six her innocence wiped off the face of the planet in a split second. Her blood curdling scream followed by the stare of those cold lifeless eyes will haunt me forever. Even after the years of training and experience plus numerous ehancements to both my body and mind... nothing can prepare you for this.  (Rest of backstory to be added one day)  P.s.
