Character Bio

Dr. Sam Clems, a crazy old scientist, who loved "The Wizard of Oz," decided to craft a crime-fighting mechanism out of the strong lightweight material Titanium.  

Being a former Crey Corp employee, the doctor used all of his skills to imbue his creation with artificial intelligence.  He only expected to have a machine which could obey simple commands.

During it's first fight, vs the clockwork, it was captured and modified by the Clockwork King.  To the dismay of the King, the use of excessive electrical forces scrambled the automaton's circuits and it ran amok.  So it was put into storage until a solution could be found.

20 years later, Synapse came across the Axeman, during one of his forays against the clattering evil-doers.  Being very well acquanted with electricity, Synapse was able to re-activate the mechanism and settled the wild electrical fluctuations which caused it's wildness.
