Gen. Sondhi Boonyaratkalin was the military coup leader who ousted Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra in late September 2006. A week after Boonyaratkalin?s bloodless coup ousted Shinawatra, the military junta led by Boonyaratkalin selected Gen. Surayud Chulanont (an esteemed advisor to King Bhumipol Aduljadeh) as the new PM. With his coup completed successfully and the next Thai PM installed ... General Boonyaratkalin has faded into the background. Rumors abound that he has begun work on the next phase of his master plan. . . perhaps working out of the Rogue Isles?
