Evelyn Lamb was pretty content. She loved her parents. She owned her own business, a small bookstore specializing in her beloved old pulps. She was engaged to the man she loved. Everything was good.

Until she woke up dead.

Two years dead, and looking like a cross between The Shadow and a fetish model. Insubstantial and confused, she drifted around Paragon City, only to find that her family had moved on, her fiance had moved in with someone else, and her bookstore had become a Starbucks. And worse than that, she had no idea how she'd died...had it been an accident? A sudden illness? Then she lifted her cowl and found her throat brutally slashed.

Who had killed her, and why? What was the significance of the lock and chain she could not remove? As she begins to understand more about her ghostly existence, she hopes to solve the mystery of her own murder. (RPer)
