The Anaris are known as fierce warriors and none more so then the Kalis'tar. Identified at birth by their gold markings then are trained from an early age to fight in the name of the Anaris Empire using their natural abilities. The toxins their spines carry are often leathal. 10 years ago the Anaris Empire was over run by an enemy they had not encountered before, the Vantoran Empire. A small group of Anaris warriors were able to escape the Vantoran Death Squads. Kal'Arai was among those who survived.
